My recent PC build ! Featuring AMD FX 4100 and Sapphire HD 7750 !

Recently i build a PC for my little brothers.
They wanted a gaming PC.

The main components are :

Motherboard : ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS

This motherboard features an AMD AM3+ socket and supports 2 DIMM slots for the RAM.
It's a micro ATX motherboard.

Processor : AMD FX 4100 Black Edition

Graphic Card : Sapphire HD 7750

Primary Hard Drive : 250 GB Laptop Hard Drive ( My old laptop ) ( Actually my sister's laptop )

Secondary Hard Drive : 1TB Caviar Black Western Digital.

THE SETTING UP OF THE PC

I bought a custom casing and a 500 watt power supply for the PC,
Actually,  I am planning on using the 1TB HDD as the primary Hard Drive, but my sister had a laptop with a burned motherboard...

I don't know what she did with that laptop..
But, fortunately the laptop hard drive is still functioning and have a windows 7 installed on it.
So, i changed my plan and use the laptop hard drive as the primary hard drive.

First of, I install the processor onto the motherboard.
Things that need to be carefully while doing this task is that not to break the pins and to install the processor in the correct orientation.

Then i install the heat sink provided with the processor.
This task is quite easy because the heat sink have lock on the side.

Next is to install the I/O shield and standoff to the casing.
This should be the easiest part.

Remember : standoff is really important to be install before installing motherboard in t the casing.

Then i can install the motherboard in to the casing.
Just us the screw that comes with the casing.

Next is to install the power supply.
Power supply installation is also quite easy.
Just put it at the correct orientation and put all the screw.

Installing the hard drive.

I have two hard drive:
1. 250GB 2.5" (Laptop's HD)
2. 1TB 3.5" (Desktop's HD)

I noticed that the motherboard has a RAID settings from the 1st to the 4th SATA,
so i used the 5th and 6th SATA connection to install the Hard drive.

Then i install the Graphic Card.
I'm using Sapphire HD 7750.
To install the graphic card, i need to open some shield on the back of the casing for me to be able to use the connectors on the back of the graphic card.
This might be a little bit hard. I myself took over 15 minutes on this one.

Next is to install the RAM modules.

I'm using a 4GB DDR3 RAM (4GBX1)
It's a dual-channel ram running 1333MGhz.

Then i need to install the power cables.
This task is quite hard as it's my first time.
I took sometime to find where to hook up the power cable power for HD LED.. etc..
All the power cable that has only one pins really piss me off.

Then i hook up the monitor and keyboard, then try to boot the system.

BOOTING UP

My first boot up end up giving me this error "No keyboard found"
I was like "What?"
I did connect the keyboard and it says, no keyboard found ??? What the heck ?
Another thing that i didn't expect that the system boot up my 1TB hard drive rather than my 250gb hard drive, which is already have windows 7 installed on it.

Actually, i already expected these errors,
1. The no keyboard error : It's because i haven't installed the motherboard driver yet.
2. The wrong hd boot up : It's because i haven't set which hd to boot up upon start on the bios settings.

So what i did to fix these errors is that setting the 250gb as the primary hd so that the system boots it up first.
Then, i get into windows 7, which already installed.

Now, all i need to do is install the motherboard driver which comes with the motherboard in the CD.
Remember that i didn't have an optical drive to read the CD.
So, i copied all the data on the CD using my laptop, and transfer it to the computer using my External Hard Disk.

After installing the driver, i'm able to use the keyboard.
But how did i get into windows without the keyboard ?
Actually, i'm using another keyboard that connect using USB from the front side of the casing which don't need motherboard driver to work.

Finally, i got to see all my hard work by testing all the games I've downloaded..

I think that's all about my pc build this time. I'll be posting again about this build or maybe another build. : )

Here are some links about the components that i used in my build.
